Using your Headshots 101

Huzzah! Now that you have new headshots, it is time to put them to use and share them with the world!

Whether you're updating your professional online presence or sharing your new headshots with colleagues and clients, it's important to do it right. Use this checklist to cover all the necessary steps for sharing your new images and creating consistency across platforms.

1. Review and Select the Best Shots:

Review the gallery of images sent directly to you.

Favorite the headshots that best represent you,  your professional image, and personal brand.

2. Obtain High-Resolution Images:

Download your full gallery of images or those you would like to utilize.  We would recommend the high resolution version + web versions!

Save these new images in a safe place- not just on your desktop!  Google Photos, Google Drive, Dropbox- any sort of storage space to keep them for future use.

3. Update your Online Presence:

LinkedIn: Replace your profile picture with the new headshot.

Professional Websites: Update your headshot on personal or company website.

Social Media: Update profile pictures on all platforms that feel applicable (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

4. Update your Business Presence:

Update your email signature with the new headshot.

Update the headshot on your business cards, if applicable.

If you're part of a larger organization, update your headshot in the company directory.

Update your headshot in any press releases, articles, or publications where you are featured.

Replace old headshots on printed marketing materials, such as brochures or flyers.

Professional Associations: - If you are a member of professional associations, update your headshot in their directories or profiles.
